Does your dog have some issues they struggling with?

Are daily activities becoming stressful for you and your dog?

Are you looking to understand the struggles they are facing?

We can assess your dogs behaviour, working closely with other professionals such as your veterinarian and canine physiotherapist

If you are looking for some support with struggles you and your dog are facing then we can help. During a behaviour consultation we will assess your dogs behaviour and form a behavioural plan to support and overcome the struggles they are facing.

Often, there can be many factors to behaviour struggles which means it can often be beneficial to work closely alongside other canine professionals. Due to this, we will be in contact with your veterinarian, an any other professionals as required, prior to seeing you for your behaviour consult.

An idea of things we can assess and provide behaviour plans for:

  • Fear and anxiety based problems

  • House soiling

  • Sound sensitivities

  • Separation related struggles

  • Hyperactivity

  • Reactivity

  • Handling struggles

Throughout our dogs lives, their behaviour can change which can happen over time or appear to come out of the blue. There can be many reasons for this and so the behaviour assessment aims to determine what the struggle is and the factors behind this. In order to fully support the dog, and overcome the struggle, we need to address all factors. A behaviour modification plan will be created to support both you and your dog as we address the struggle they are facing. communication with other professionals is often necessary so we can rule out any medical factors, or if necessary, identify what could be influencing the behaviour.

These consults are for dogs of any age and breed. Dog are individuals and the support they require is very much tailored to them and also you as a family. The behaviour consult is intended to be laid back and informative for the whole family to ensure you get the most out of the time. We encourage the whole household to be present at the consult, if they wish to be. Consistency is important so we will make sure all members of the household understand the plan and are on board.

To ensure the session is reinforcing and beneficial to your dog, they will have choice throughout to create a rewarding experience. Your dog will be given plenty of opportunities to rest and take in the learning experience. We want to ensure the dogs remain motivated and don't become bored or frustrated by any training we put in place. The training methods used are kind and fair, ensuring your dogs wellbeing is not compromised. Choice and reward based methods are used throughout the session with scientifically proven methods being used. â€‹We specialise in ACE (Animal Centred Education). We will likely incorporate ACE techniques into your session to ensure your dog gets a valuable learning experience. â€‹

We have a great deal of experience training many different dog breeds and a wide range of activities.

Depending on the type of training you require, we can either arrange to meet at your home or a suitable area to carry out the session.
